Episode 174 - The Feel Good Service
After nearly a decade of writing and producing for major artists and touring the world as band members for some of the biggest names in music (JLo, Jidenna, Big Krit, Flo Rida, Black Eyed Peas, and CeeLo Green… to name a few), Lucy and Mo’Dre decided to bring their combined talents together in order to better serve humanity by providing undeniable FEEL GOOD music guaranteed to feed & funk up your soul!
Hailing from upstate NY, Andre “MoDre” Brown is a multi-instrumentalist and producer. MoDre was one of 10 recipients from around the world for the prestigious ‘Berklee College of Music Presidential Scholarship’. Blessed to have shared the stage with so many first class artists, he has appeared on ‘The Today Show’ with Jennifer Lopez and Lin Manuel, Jimmy Kimmel live with Jidenna and NPR Tiny Desk. He released his debut-solo EP ‘Ready’ in 2020, and has had songs featured in 2 BET original feature films.
The lovely Lucy Graves was born and raised in New Zealand. A songwriter, producer, engineer, keyboardist and vocalist, after touring the words playing keyboards and singing backing vocals for Ceelo Green and The Black Eyed Peas as well as songwriting for other major artists, Lucy is refocusing on The Feel Good Service and her solo music. Her style is best described as an “a la carte” menu, pick and choose what you want to listen to, and go with the mood you’re in! Lucy’s style transcends styles and cultures, taking you on a voyage through different days of emotions. Lucy has opened for Lionel Ritchie, and performed alongside Gwen Stefani. She also has songs featured in several films.
Following up on their single “Hands”, The Feel Good Service bring us a slick follow-up with their latest offering, ‘KARMA’. A groove-inflicting sonic gift with a flavour reminiscent of the finest of audio art, ‘KARMA’ is a catchy track alluding to more cooking in the kitchen.
How do you take your funk? Dirty with a bit of soul.
