Episode 46 - Blake Lewis

Blake Lewis drew national attention as one of the most unique contestants ever to compete on American Idol. At the beginning of his career, He was well-known as “Bshorty” in Seattle’s a cappella, hip-hop, and rave scenes performing as a one man band with loop pedals, keys and guitar.

With his ambitious and completely independent third album, Portrait of a Chameleon, Blake took things to a whole new level. The follow-up to the critically acclaimed, Audio Day Dream (which sold 350,000 copies and spawned the top 40 single “BreakAnotha”) and Heartbreak on Vinyl (the title track went to #1 twice on Billboard’s dance charts), Portrait of a Chameleon is an epic mix of future pop. In January 2020, He released his 4th full length album, Wanderlust Unknown, that explores nostalgic 90’s grooves with a mix of jazz, hip hop and soul. His latest project, The Private Language with KJ Sawka of Pendulum fame, just released their first remix of BT’s “The War” out now on Black Hole Recordings.
