Episode 101 - Nelson Cade III

Born and raised in Orange County, Nelson Cade III began his musical journey in first grade with classical training in piano. His training continued strong into middle school when he was accepted into the Orange County School of the Arts. Around junior year in high school, Nelson transferred to Anaheim High where he picked up and taught himself guitar while walking home from school and back. The singing came shortly after.
 
While walking by a farmers’ market in downtown Los Angeles, guitar in hand, he was stopped by one of the market’s organizers and asked if he wanted a gig there. Since that day, A variety of venues have reached out giving him an opportunity to perform all throughout Southern California. Nelson has performed at venues such as The House of Blues in Anaheim and Segerstrom Center of the Arts in Costa Mesa. He performs locally in Orange County at various wine bars and private parties. He also performs at several restaurants and bars in Los Angeles.
 
In 2020, Nelson earned a 4 chair turn on Season 18 of NBC’s The Voice and landed on Team Legend.
 
Nelson is a lover of all different sounds and styles of music. He plays a variety of genres at his gigs such as blues, pop, folk, rock and oldies, as well as some of his originals mixed in. Nelson is currently writing music and working on production in preparation for his debut album.
