With an undeniable style and musicality, JDM (Jacob Daniel Murphy) has been developing and solidifying as an artist to watch.
 
Born and raised in Elk Grove, CA, Murphy grew up with an eclectic taste in music (Aretha Franklin, James Taylor, Whitney Houston, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra,) citing his mother playing a huge part in his discovery and love for the art. While in college, Murphy’s songwriting and production skills began to blossom and soon gaining attention of A&R’s and industry executives in Los Angeles.
 
Over the next 5 years, He was completely immersed in the music industry, appeared on NBC’s criticially acclaimed show The Voice and officially coming out to his friends and family. These collective opportunities and experiences have helped pave a new path for his artistry.
