Episode 80 - Katyrah Love

Katyrah Love is a singer, songwriter, percussionist, poet, host and activist from Baltimore, Maryland. Among her many accomplishments, She is proud to have represented Baltimore in Harlem’s Apollo Amateur Competition from 2018-2019. She won a total of 3 times and was invited back to participate in Apollo’s Christmas Special.

 

For most of 2020, Katyrah helped to keep art and hope alive during the pandemic by co-curating a weekly online open mic that turned into a COVID-friendly showcase. She also works as a peer support facilitator for Springboard Community Services’ youth homelessness demonstration project funded by the Mayor’s Office. Her mission is to encourage, empower and spread love through everything she does.
